"There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the highest creed."
~Woodrow Wilson

Marla's ceramics class donates bowls every year for our fundraiser Bowls for Humanity. Marla has been involved with Bowls for Humanity since the very first one, when it was still called our Soup and Bowl fundraiser. This year Marla also worked behind the scenes at this event, not only as one of our largest donors, but also as a volunteer helping wash, transport, and stock the bowls for the fundraising dinner. Marla says that her students particularly enjoy the pottery competition that is held during our Bowls for Humanity event, and love to brag to the entire school when they win a prize. When asked why she decided to get involved with the Food and Care Coalition, Marla said "It was so exciting to be part of the fundraising for the new facility! The building is awesome and valuable to the entire community. We're so glad to help by doing what we love."
