 John Searcy

John Searcy John began his volunteer service at Food & Care Coalition in 2001 by helping weekly with the breakfast program. He also became a Mentor providing clients outreach, support and companionship.

John volunteers because it makes him feel good and he has a genuine interest in helping people. He is a senior at BYU, majoring in Marriage, Family and Human development and will graduate in April. This June he will be moving to the New Orleans area where he will be working for two years in the Teach for America organization where he will be teaching secondary math and science to the underpriviledged. We will miss him greatly at Food & Care Coalition, but know he will be offering other people the gift of compassion.
