Bowls for Humanity 2014
Food and Care Coalition Hosts 9th Annual Bowls for Humanity Event on March 20th, 2015 to Raise Money for the Homeless of Utah County
Bowls for Humanity offers locally made pottery from students and professionals and invites the community to support programs offered for the homeless and low-income of Utah County.
Utah County’s Food and Care Coalition is preparing for their 9th annual Bowls for Humanity fundraising event. Professional and student artists have been working on pottery all year for this event, all of which will go on sale on March 20th.
Bowls for Humanity, an event which features locally made pottery, artwork, and soup, is typically the largest fundraiser hosted each year by the Food and Care Coalition. In previous years, up to 1,000 members of the community have been in attendance. Bowls for Humanity supports services offered by the Food and Care Coalition, such as hot meals, hygiene, showers, laundry facilities, outreach, shelter, and other programs.
Handmade soup bowls from local potters will be available for purchase and can be filled with a selection of soups from both Marvellous Catering and the Food & Care Coalition’s own Chef Ken. All proceeds will support programs and services for the homeless and low-income community.
